Stuart Goodwill died on the 27th December 2007. He was 33 years old. Stu worked as a mechanical and electrical engineer. He was married to Claire and they lived in Darlington. Stu and his friend Caroline had been pot holing in Yorkshire on the 27th December when they were caught in rising water and sadly didn't manage to get out.
Stu's passion was caving and pot holing. He joined a caving club when he was 16 and has been doing it ever since. He died doing something that he loved. We was an outdoors person both in his job and his hobbies. He was waiting for the weather to change so he could take his first solo flight, he will be mad that he didn't get the chance to do it. Stu did more in his 33 years than many of us will do in a life time.
Stu, we are going to plan you a tree and get a bench for you in your favourite place, just a short walk from your favourite pub and pint. We all love you dearly and will miss you forever. We will think of you always xxx
One year on.
You are still in our thoughts stuart.Never to be forgotten.
GOD BLESS
